The 136X9983 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It is used to modulate induction motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and other motion axes. It adjusts output frequency and voltage so connected motors can follow process demand instead of running only at fixed line speed. This allows mechanical output to track real-time machine requirements while conserving energy. That behavior is useful in automated equipment that needs repeatable speed changes during normal operation.

Electrically, the drive supplies up to 150 HP, which is equivalent to 110 kW of continuous mechanical power. It accepts a line input of 380–500 VAC on a three-phase power network. This voltage range removes the need for a separate line option within that class. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating, so the unit must be installed in a protected cabinet that matches the normal A, B, or C frame layout with standard cable entries. Resolver feedback is enabled by the MCB-103 B option for applications that use that feedback format. Expansion slots A, C0, C1, and D are empty, no software option is loaded, and braking energy is handled externally because the drive is delivered without a brake chopper. A standard language pack is installed, and no special adaptation package is applied.

Electromagnetic compliance is supported by the integrated RFI filter, which suppresses conducted noise on both line and motor leads. The integrated filter also helps reduce interference returning to the supply and traveling along the motor connection. Operation and diagnostics are handled through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides direct local access to drive status and settings. The unit uses code 302, and the control boards are coated to help resist moisture and airborne contaminants inside the cabinet. This shipped configuration does not include additional adaptation hardware.
