Product Description:
The 136N6844 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. It is supplied as a chassis unit for cabinet installation and converts fixed-frequency line power into a variable output that lets induction or permanent-magnet motors match real-time load profiles. By modulating speed rather than relying on mechanical throttling, the drive supports precise torque control and energy savings in conveyors, mixers, and general process equipment. This makes it suitable for applications that need stable motor regulation across changing operating conditions.
Electrical capacity begins with a mains window of 380–500 VAC supplied on three-phase power. The inverter delivers 18.5 kW of continuous output, equivalent to 25 HP at the motor terminals. It has an IP20 chassis enclosure that keeps live parts finger-safe but requires installation in a protective control cabinet. The chassis is intended for normal cabinet mounting in A, B, and C frames, and standard cable entries simplify cable gland selection. Printed circuit boards are coated against moisture, the language pack is a standard multilingual set, and no mains option is fitted on the unit.
Slot A contains the PROFINET MCA 120 interface for deterministic Ethernet networking, while slot B accepts the MCB-103 Resolver Option when analog rotor feedback is required. A graphical local control panel provides local setup and status access, and an integrated RFI filter helps reduce conducted emissions. No brake chopper is installed, so the unit does not include an internal brake chopper circuit. Adaptation B is not assigned, and the configuration also omits software expansion, motion controller, extra I/O, and any D option. These omissions keep the hardware focused on the listed control and communication functions.
