Product Description:
The Danfoss 135U1345 is a variable-frequency drive in the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains into a controllable waveform so that induction or permanent-magnet motors can start, stop, and change speed under PLC command. By varying output frequency and voltage, it lets the connected motor follow process demand while reducing abrupt mechanical stress during speed changes. In production lines, conveyors, or pumping skids, the unit links process logic to motor torque while its brake chopper absorbs regenerated energy during fast stops.
The inverter supplies up to 4.0 kW of continuous power, equal to 5.0 HP, making it suitable for mid-range mechanical loads. It accepts an input range of 380 – 500 VAC on three-phase power, so it can be wired directly to standard plant busbars used in industrial facilities. The IP20 / Chassis enclosure requires installation inside a control cabinet rather than open exposure on the machine. Harmonic noise is reduced by the integrated RFI filter, and the safe-stop circuit works with the brake chopper during controlled deceleration. The drive weighs 4.36 kg, which supports flexible panel placement without adding much load to the enclosure backplate. Parameter access is handled through the graphical local control panel, which gives local visibility for operating values and settings.
The housing has a width of 90 mm, a height of 268 mm, and a depth of 220 mm, which matches the A2 frame and helps preserve airflow in compact enclosures. Network integration is available through the PROFINET MCA 120 option card, and an MCB-103 resolver board can be added when feedback control is required. Standard cable entries simplify gland installation and help keep wiring paths organized inside the cabinet. The PCB is not coated, so the drive is best suited for clean, dry environments where dust and moisture are controlled. Heat sinks remain aligned with vertical airflow in the normal cabinet orientation, which supports stable cooling during operation.
