Product Description:
The 135N0456 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as a member of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for general-purpose motion tasks, it modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to an induction motor so plant controllers can adjust shaft speed according to real-time demand. This capability can increase energy efficiency and reduce mechanical stress in automated material-handling, HVAC, and process systems. The drive also provides controlled acceleration and deceleration, helping connected machinery operate smoothly under changing load conditions.
The drive accepts a line supply of 380 to 500 VAC and uses three-phase power, allowing connection to common industrial feeders without phase conversion. At the motor terminals, it provides a continuous output of 2.2 kW, which corresponds to a mechanical output of 3.0 HP. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating, so the unit must be installed inside a suitable cabinet that limits access and protects it from environmental exposure. Mounting follows the normal A, B, and C frame layout, and standard cable entries simplify installation on a mounting plate. Conformally coated internal circuit boards protect conductive traces from airborne contaminants that could affect operation. An integrated brake chopper diverts regenerated energy during rapid deceleration, allowing an appropriate external braking arrangement to manage returning power. Because the drive has no mains option, suitable external protection and disconnecting devices must be included in the installation.
Ethernet-based control and diagnostic communication are provided by the PROFINET MCA 120 option card. For high-resolution position feedback, the drive supports the MCB-102 encoder option, which allows compatible encoder signals to be incorporated into closed-loop applications. Control electronics can remain powered during a loss of the main supply through the MCB-107 24 V DC backup module. Parameters and operating information are accessible locally through the graphical local control panel, while the standard language pack provides consistent menu text across installations. No adaptation is installed in slot B, and the C0 and C1 expansion positions remain unoccupied. The unit carries the internal series identifier 302 within the AutomationDrive FC product group.
