Product Description:
The 134U8168 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As a regulated power converter, the drive adjusts the frequency and voltage supplied to three-phase induction motors. This regulation provides precise speed and torque control for conveyor lines, pumps, material-handling systems, and other automated equipment. The drive can vary motor output to match changing process demands while maintaining stable operation across its supported power range.
During normal operation, the drive accepts 380–500 VAC three-phase mains power and delivers up to 3.0 HP of mechanical output. The modulation stage provides 2.2 kW of continuous output, making the unit suitable for small industrial machines. Input conductors enter through factory-installed imperial smooth-cable glands, which support panel assemblies that follow U.S. conduit practices. The drive is designed for three-phase power, so it can operate on balanced three-phase feeders without derating. Its regulated output allows connected motors to run below their fixed line-frequency speed when an application requires reduced flow, slower conveying, or controlled acceleration. Adjustable frequency control also reduces the mechanical shock that can occur when motors start directly across the line.
The power stage includes an integrated RFI filter that limits conducted electromagnetic emissions. The drive uses coated printed circuit assemblies to improve resistance to airborne humidity and dust within the control enclosure. User interaction is provided through a detachable graphical local control panel, which offers parameter access and real-time operating readouts through the standard language pack. The product group is VLT AutomationDrive FC, and its internal identifier is 302. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative energy produced during motor deceleration must be managed by the connected system. The local control panel can be removed when direct access is unnecessary, while the drive continues to respond to external control and reference signals. Its mains input range supports common industrial feeders used for three-phase motor applications without requiring additional input-voltage conversion hardware.
