The Danfoss 134U8168 VLT® Automation Drive is a versatile motion control solution which operates on a three phase input of 380–500 volts. This product of Danfoss offers precise variable frequency output up to 590 hertz and enables efficient regulation of speed in industrial automation tasks.

The 134U8168 drive has been inspected and meets rigorous international approval standards such as UL, CE and EAC. It has an integrated visual interface, essentially a small display screen that uses liquid crystal technology which allows it to read information directly from the module. Its output voltage from it to the motor can range anywhere from 0 volts up to the full incoming line voltage and allows smooth starting and stopping of motors. Its case enclosing it is built to be highly resistant to dust, water jets and corrosion as it has the rating of NEMA 4X and IPP 66. It can provide three horsepower of mechanical energy to a motor when functioning on a 460 volt supply. It is compatible with both global power grid standards of 5o hertz common in Europe and 60 hertz that is common in the USA. It can effectively give away 5.6 amps of maximum electric current at one voltage and 4.8 amps at another.

The software navigation inside the 134U8168 drive such as main menu, quick menu, status and alarm log is designed for structured access to information. As an input it itself consumes about 5 amps at one supply voltage or 4.3 amps at another and it includes direct control buttons such as On, Off, Hand on, auto on and Warn. It can function very well in surroundings as hot as 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
