This speed control allows production equipment, conveyors, pumps, and packaging lines to match process demand without relying on mechanical throttling. The drive also regulates motor torque to support stable operation as the connected load changes. The drive accepts a mains voltage range of 380–500 VAC and is intended for three-phase power grids found in industrial plants. At the motor terminals, it supplies 3.0 kW of continuous power, equivalent to 4.0 HP, for midrange centrifugal or positive-displacement loads. The housing has an IP54, Type 12, and N3R enclosure rating, allowing direct wall mounting in dusty or splash-prone areas. Standard cable entries on the baseplate provide access for power, motor, and control wiring. The internal circuit boards are uncoated, so the enclosure provides the primary barrier against airborne contaminants. The drive uses its native rectifier topology because it does not include a dedicated mains option. Field communication is handled by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card, which exchanges commands and operating data with compatible industrial control networks. Synchronous positioning tasks are processed by the MCO-305 (SyncPos) C0 module, allowing coordinated motion functions to run within the drive. An integrated brake chopper manages energy returned by the motor during deceleration and helps control the DC bus voltage. The MCB-107 24 V DC backup D-option board keeps the control electronics active during short power interruptions. Local operation is performed through a Graphical Local Control Panel supplied with the standard language pack. Adaptation B is included, while the B-option and C1-option slots are empty.
