Product Description:
The 134U3280 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output that regulates induction motor speed and torque in industrial automation tasks such as conveyors, pumps, and coordinated production lines. The unit is intended for cabinet installation within automation systems that use the electrical architecture associated with the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group.
The power section delivers a continuous output of 1.1 kW, equivalent to 1.5 HP, and accepts three-phase power over a supply range of 525–690 VAC. An internal brake chopper diverts regenerative energy during fast deceleration, and controlled braking remains available through the brake safe-stop function. The IP20/chassis enclosure requires installation behind a protective cabinet door using standard mounting arrangements for A, B, and C frames. Standard cable entries simplify wiring, while conformal-coated printed circuit boards protect sensitive electronics from dust and moisture. These coated boards provide added protection when the drive operates inside industrial cabinets exposed to airborne contaminants.
Communication and motion features are provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option card and the MCO-305 (SyncPos) motion controller, which enable synchronized positioning commands. The PROFIBUS interface exchanges command and status data with a supervisory controller, while the motion controller coordinates position profiles for synchronized machine axes. Local interaction occurs through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which includes the Standard language pack for direct parameter access. The panel displays operating data and provides access to adjustable settings directly at the cabinet. Electromagnetic compatibility is enhanced by the integrated RFI class A1 (C2) filter, while a C1 filter is omitted. The installed filter reduces conducted electrical noise on supply lines shared with nearby equipment.
