Product Description:
The 134L3500 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency line power into a modulated output so plant controllers can regulate induction motor speed and torque in conveyors, pumps, and other automated machinery. By accepting fieldbus or discrete control signals, the drive can operate from a cabinet enclosure and provide closed-loop motion control. This arrangement can replace throttling valves or mechanical gear changes in suitable applications.
The unit supplies a continuous mechanical output of 3.7 kW, equivalent to 5.0 HP, providing capacity for midrange machine axes. Input power is accepted from 200–240 VAC industrial feeders, and the input section supports three-phase power to match common plant distribution networks. The IP20 chassis is intended for installation inside a climate-controlled enclosure and provides basic protection against accidental finger contact. Standard cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames keeps the heat sink aligned with typical ducting paths. The factory-applied coating on the printed circuit boards improves resistance to airborne moisture and conductive dust. No dedicated mains option is installed, so line-side disconnects and fuses must be provided externally.
The communication slot contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module, enabling cyclic setpoint exchange and diagnostic communication over a single twisted pair. Energy produced during high-inertia deceleration is directed to a brake chopper, which helps prevent overvoltage trips. Users interact with the drive through a Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides access to operating values and adjustable parameters through the standard language pack. Conductors enter through standard cable openings that support orderly routing within the enclosure. An integral RFI filter attenuates conducted emissions for installations that must meet EMC category C2 requirements. The filter reduces electrical noise returned to the supply network while the communication module maintains data exchange with the plant controller.
