The 134F8210 is an AutomationDrive unit produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It functions as a cabinet-mounted drive that adjusts the speed of three-phase motors in automated machinery and process equipment, allowing the motor to match changing process demands instead of operating at full speed all the time. In production lines, conveyors, or pumping systems, the drive provides programmed acceleration, deceleration, and constant-speed operation to support smoother starts, steadier throughput, and lower electrical stress on connected equipment.

This model delivers a continuous output power of 90 kW, equivalent to 125 HP, allowing it to run high-torque industrial motors without derating. It accepts a mains input from 380–500 VAC on a three-phase power supply, so it connects directly to common plant distribution systems. The enclosure has an IP20 / chassis rating, which helps guard against finger contact with live parts, but the unit still requires installation inside a control cabinet. The control algorithms maintain stable motor frequency across load transients, which helps the motor respond smoothly when the driven load changes suddenly. Scaling from fractional speed to rated speed is handled through carrier-based PWM, while built-in current limiting keeps semiconductor junction temperatures within safe limits during acceleration and speed correction.

Supporting application integration, the drive ships with an embedded RFI filter that attenuates conducted noise on the supply lines and helps the panel meet EMC class limits. A coated PCB layer protects sensitive components against dust and airborne moisture in humid production areas and helps protect low-voltage electronics from contamination. Operators configure the unit through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents plain-text menus and real-time motor data. Mechanical installation is simplified by the normal cabinet mounting design for A, B, and C frames, so the heat sink aligns with standard backplates and airflow paths inside standard enclosures. The platform also supports compatible accessory option cards for expanded control and communication functions.
