Product Description:
The 132X3418 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that allows industrial controllers to adjust induction motor speed, torque, and process throughput. Through fieldbus networks or hardwired I/O, the unit can operate pumps, fans, conveyors, and material-handling equipment that require closed-loop speed control, reduced energy consumption, or coordinated motion sequences on factory floors.
The drive has a rated motor output of 75 kW, which corresponds to 100 HP. It accepts line supplies ranging from 380 to 500 VAC and uses a three-phase power input for connection to common industrial distribution systems. A built-in DC link receives and stabilizes the incoming power before it reaches the inverter stage. The IGBT bridge then produces the variable voltage and frequency needed to control the connected motor across its operating range. A front-mounted Graphical Local Control Panel provides access to operating parameters, status information, alarms, and diagnostic data. The panel also allows local control when the drive is not receiving commands from a remote controller or automation network.
Input switching is handled by a mains disconnect and fuse assembly, which provides a convenient means of isolating the drive and protecting its input circuit. Electromagnetic interference is reduced by an integrated RFI filter, helping the unit operate alongside other sensitive industrial electronics. The circuit boards have a protective coating that improves resistance to dust and humidity inside the enclosure. Standard cable gland plates provide organized entry points for power, motor, and control wiring while supporting secure cable routing. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so external dynamic braking hardware is required when an application demands rapid deceleration or frequent stopping of high-inertia loads. The model uses series identifier 302, which associates it with the enclosure layout and parameter structure used by other FC 302 drives.
