Product Description:
The 131Z7725 adjustable-speed drive is manufactured by Danfoss and belongs to the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency input power into a variable output that regulates induction motor speed and torque on conveyors, pumps, and material-handling machines. The drive shares mechanical dimensions with other units in the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, which supports consistent cabinet layouts across related models. Its variable-speed operation can improve energy efficiency when connected to loads that do not need to run continuously at full speed.
The unit supplies a continuous output of 7.5 kW, which corresponds to a shaft output of 10 HP. It operates from a 380–500 VAC supply using three-phase power, allowing connection to standard industrial feeders within that voltage range. A built-in brake chopper controls regenerated energy during rapid deceleration by directing it to a suitable braking resistor. The drive does not include optional add-on I/O, communication modules, or input filters. It is delivered with the Standard language pack for access to its menus and operating parameters. An uncoated printed circuit board is used for installations that are not exposed to corrosive moisture or aggressive airborne contaminants.
The drive has an IP54/Type 12 N3R enclosure rating that protects internal components against dust and water spray. Its integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter reduces conducted electrical noise on connected power lines. Wiring enters the housing through smooth imperial cable entries, which accommodate compatible conduit and cable hardware. Parameters and operating information are accessed through the front-mounted graphical local control panel. The housing depth aligns with related frame sizes, helping maintain orderly equipment spacing in industrial control cabinets while preserving access to the wiring terminals and control interface.
