Product Description:
The 131Z5868 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Mounted in a control cabinet, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output for induction motors used on conveyors, pumps, and fans. This regulation allows connected equipment to start smoothly and operate at the speed requested by the automation program. The drive is suitable for automated assembly equipment and process lines that require controlled acceleration, deceleration, torque, and motor speed.
The drive provides an output power of 22 kW, which is equivalent to 30 HP for midrange industrial machinery. The inverter accepts 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, allowing direct connection to commonly used industrial electrical systems within that voltage range. Its IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental finger contact when the unit is installed correctly inside a control panel. A built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter suppresses conducted electrical noise that could otherwise affect nearby control and communication equipment. The drive supports normal cabinet mounting with compatible A, B, and C frame arrangements, while its cable entries use a standard metric pattern. Its uncoated printed circuit boards are intended for clean, dry electrical cabinets where moisture and corrosive airborne contaminants are controlled.
A PROFINET MCA 120 interface occupies the fieldbus slot and provides real-time network communication with compatible automation controllers. The B, C0, C1, and D option slots are unpopulated, leaving the drive with a streamlined option configuration. Local interaction is available through the graphical local control panel, whose multicolor display and keypad provide access to operating data and adjustable parameters. The panel also supports fault acknowledgment and manual jogging in a language included with the standard language pack. During rapid deceleration, the internal brake chopper directs regenerated energy to the appropriate braking circuit and helps control increases in the DC-link voltage. The unit does not include a mains option or an adaptation module. Its normal cabinet-mount arrangement positions the drive so cooling air can pass through the unit when the surrounding enclosure provides the required airflow and clearances.
