Product Description:
The 131X9590 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for installation in process and material-handling equipment, the unit converts fixed mains power into a modulated output that allows controllers to adjust induction motor speed and torque. Closed-loop speed regulation helps improve energy use while providing the responsive motion control required in industrial automation cells. The drive can support conveyors, pumps, fans, and other machinery that requires controlled acceleration, stable operation, or repeatable deceleration.
The drive accepts a three-phase supply from 380 to 500 VAC for operation on common industrial power systems. Its power stage uses three-phase power to produce a controlled output for the connected motor. An internal brake chopper manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration by directing it to a suitable braking circuit. Field communication is handled by the A Option card, which uses PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 for real-time setpoints, operating data, and diagnostic messages. Local interaction is provided through the front-mounted Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays parameters, operating values, and fault codes on a multiline screen. Standard cable entries support organized power, motor, and control wiring within the enclosure. This arrangement allows the drive to receive remote commands while still providing direct access to essential settings at the unit.
The C0 slot contains the MCO-305 (SyncPos) module, which expands the drive with coordinated positioning functions for motion applications. This module supports tasks that require controlled synchronization between the motor and related machine movements. Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by the built-in RFI filter, which helps reduce conducted electrical interference entering or leaving the drive through the power lines. The drive has uncoated printed circuit boards, so it should be installed where cabinet air remains clean and adequately controlled. The default language pack supplies the standard software interface for local parameter access. Upstream circuit protection and supply switching must be provided through the installation’s external breaker and contactor because the drive does not include a mains option.
