Product Description:
The 131X9141 variable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed in an automation cabinet, it modulates motor voltage and frequency so that a controller can adjust speed and torque without mechanical throttling. The unit belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, and its graphical Local Control Panel allows users to review parameters and alarms directly at the machine. This local interface also provides convenient access to operating status, motor data, and drive settings without requiring a separate display device.
It accepts an input range of 380–500 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to typical industrial mains. The inverter is rated for 1.5 kW, which is equivalent to 2.0 HP, so it can drive small pumps, fans, or conveyors with limited output requirements. The IP20 chassis enclosure helps prevent accidental contact with live parts when the drive is installed inside a closed cabinet, but it does not protect the electronics from water or airborne dust. Normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames aligns the heat sink with the enclosure airflow to support effective heat removal. Standard cable entries simplify gland plate preparation and provide organized routing for power, motor, and control conductors. The printed circuit boards are not coated, so the drive should be installed in a clean, temperature-controlled environment that does not expose internal components to condensation or corrosive contaminants.
The integrated A-slot card is PROFINET MCA 120, enabling real-time Ethernet communication with compatible PLCs and automation controllers. Regenerated motor energy is managed by the built-in brake chopper, which supports controlled deceleration when used with a suitable braking resistor. The D-slot contains an MCB-107 24 V DC backup that maintains control-circuit power during a loss of mains power, helping preserve fault information and communication status. Conducted emissions are limited by the RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which supports installation where electrical noise must be controlled. The graphical Local Control Panel provides direct access to operating commands, status information, and parameter menus. Standard cable entries and the panel interface help keep cabinet wiring and local operation straightforward.
