Product Description:
The 131X6842 AC drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As a three-phase variable-frequency converter, it modulates the output supplied to standard induction motors so that production equipment can match speed to real-time load demands. By integrating with automation controllers through built-in serial protocols, the drive supports closed-loop velocity control, lowers mechanical stress on gear trains, and reduces power consumption in conveyors, pumps, and general-purpose machinery. This helps connected equipment run more smoothly during speed changes and varying process loads.
Electrical power is delivered on three-phase power lines, and the inverter can supply up to 18.5 kW, equivalent to 25 HP, letting it start medium-sized fan or compressor motors without oversizing. The enclosure carries an IP20 / chassis rating, so it must be mounted inside a protective panel but still permits straightforward heat dissipation. Operators interact through a graphical local control panel, which visualizes parameters, alarms, and trending data. This local interface allows status information to be reviewed directly at the drive without relying on a separate computer. A factory-installed brake chopper enables dynamic energy dissipation during rapid deceleration. Mechanical installation follows normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, aligning the heat sink and cable terminations with standard switchgear layouts.
Control integrity is improved by coated printed-circuit boards that shield sensitive traces from humidity and airborne contaminants. For position-feedback applications, the unit accepts the MCB-103 resolver option, while all other A, C0, C1, D, and mains slots are left empty, simplifying spare parts inventory. Standard cable entries accommodate shielded motor leads, and the language pack is set to the default suite for menu navigation. Software ships at the latest release level, and no application-specific adaptation B code is included. The drive is part of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group.
