The 131X3678 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It serves as a speed and torque regulator for induction or permanent-magnet motors in industrial automation, providing closed-loop control for conveyors, pumps, and machine axes. This type of drive adjusts output frequency and voltage so the connected motor can follow process demand more closely than fixed-speed operation allows. It is well suited to production equipment that needs stable motor response, repeatable acceleration, and reliable operation during long operating cycles.

It accepts 380 – 500 VAC on a three-phase power supply and can deliver 11 kW, equivalent to 15 HP, to the connected motor. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating, so it must be installed inside a suitable control cabinet where direct contact with energized parts is limited. Standard cabinet-mount frames support mechanical installation, and the cable entries follow a standard layout that helps keep power and control wiring orderly. The printed circuit boards are not coated, so the drive is best suited to clean, dry indoor locations without conductive dust or moisture.

The B slot carries the MCB-103 Resolver Option, which adds resolver feedback for applications that require rotor-position input. Precise synchronized positioning is supported by the MCO-305 (SyncPos) module in the C0 slot, and the integrated brake chopper dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration or frequent stopping. Operator access is provided through a Graphical Local Control Panel that displays parameters and alarms, allowing local monitoring and adjustment without external setup tools. An integrated RFI Filter helps reduce conducted interference on the mains supply and supports stable operation in electrically noisy industrial environments.
