Product Description:
The 131X0614 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit supplies adjustable electrical output to AC motors, allowing plant controllers to match motor speed and torque to changing process requirements. It can support applications such as conveyors, pumps, fans, mixers, and other machinery that requires regulated motor operation. Its cabinet-oriented design provides a consistent arrangement for power wiring, control connections, and local access.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP. It accepts a 380–500 VAC line supply and is designed for three-phase power commonly used in industrial facilities. The unit has no brake chopper, so external dynamic braking equipment is required when an application needs rapid deceleration or frequent braking. Its IP20 chassis rating provides protection against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts while requiring installation inside a clean, closed enclosure. An internal RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electrical interference that could otherwise travel through the mains connection. The base power section does not include additional mains, B, C0, C1, or D option modules, keeping the internal configuration focused on standard motor-control functions. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the enclosure must protect the electronics from excessive moisture, condensation, and airborne contaminants.
The A-option slot contains a PROFINET MCA 120 module for real-time network communication with compatible plant control systems. This interface carries commands, operating data, and diagnostic information between the drive and the connected automation network. Local interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel, which gives users access to operating values, parameter menus, and drive status information. Power and signal conductors enter through standard cable openings intended for orderly routing within the enclosure. Mechanical installation uses the normal cabinet-mount arrangement for A, B, and C frames, allowing the drive to attach to common industrial backplates. The standard language package provides menu text in multiple languages, while the standard electrical configuration uses no Adaptation B changes. Cabinet temperature and humidity must remain controlled because the internal circuit boards do not have a protective coating.
