Product Description:
The 131U6343 is a variable frequency drive supplied by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation in multi-axis or stand-alone equipment, the drive converts fixed-frequency mains power into a controlled electrical output. This output regulates the speed and torque of three-phase induction motors used in pumps, conveyors, fan assemblies, and other automated equipment. The adjustable output allows connected machinery to operate at speeds that match changing process demands rather than running continuously at full speed.
It delivers a continuous output of 3.0 kW, equivalent to 4.0 HP, allowing moderate-sized loads to be started and accelerated without an external soft starter. The input section accepts 380 - 500 VAC three-phase supplies, so the same unit can operate on common 400 V-class power networks without electrical modifications. The power stage is designed for three-phase power and generates a symmetrical drive waveform that keeps motor current balanced across all three lines. The chassis has an IP20 chassis rating, which provides protection against accidental finger contact with internal components while relying on the surrounding cabinet for additional sealing. Its mounting holes accommodate standard cabinet-mounted A, B, and C frames, providing a conventional installation arrangement.
The communication slot is factory-equipped with a PROFINET MCA 120 module, providing deterministic Ethernet connectivity for decentralized PLC control without an additional gateway. During emergency deceleration or operation with overhauling loads, the DC link connects to a brake chopper, which routes excess energy to an external resistor and helps prevent overvoltage trips. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the built-in RFI filter, allowing the drive to share switchgear cabinets with sensitive control and monitoring devices. Wiring enters through standard metric gland plates, providing organized cable entry points for power, motor, and control conductors. The printed circuit board is uncoated, so the surrounding cabinet must provide suitable protection from moisture, conductive dust, and airborne contaminants. Adequate cabinet ventilation must also be maintained so heat from the power electronics can dissipate during continuous operation.
