Internal Product Review
The 131U6332 is a Danfoss VLT FC 302 automation drive designed for three-phase 380 to 500 VAC systems. PROFINET MCA 120 communication and a built-in brake chopper make this unit especially effective for coordinated control and controlled stopping. IP20 chassis protection and standard cabinet mounting make this drive a strong choice for enclosed automation installations.

Product Description:
The 131U6332 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, it regulates induction motor speed in automated machinery by converting fixed mains power into a modulated output. The drive supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, permitting direct placement in standard enclosures. Its open chassis is intended for protected indoor panels that prevent contact with moisture and other contaminants. Cabinet airflow or exhaust fans can be used to remove heat generated during continuous operation.
The power section accepts a nominal mains range of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, matching common industrial feeders without requiring step-down transformers. Continuous output is limited to 1.5 kW, allowing the drive to operate small pumps, fans, conveyors, and similar variable-speed loads. The IP20 chassis provides finger-safe terminals but does not protect the unit from water, so the enclosure must prevent direct splashes. The uncoated printed circuit board requires a clean cabinet with controlled exposure to dust, moisture, and corrosive airborne substances. Standard cable entries simplify gland plate preparation and help maintain orderly routing between the supply, motor, and control terminals. An integrated RFI filter attenuates conducted emissions, helping neighboring control electronics remain within applicable electromagnetic compatibility limits.
A communication slot is equipped with PROFINET MCA 120, providing real-time network control without separate communication hardware. This interface allows the drive to exchange commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with compatible automation controllers. For rapid deceleration or operation with overhauling loads, the drive includes a brake chopper that routes regenerated energy to an external braking resistor instead of allowing excessive DC-link voltage. Cabinet mounting can keep motor and supply leads short, reducing cable congestion and limiting reflected-wave stress on motor insulation. The unit includes a standard language pack and standard cable entry hardware, while the absence of an LCP keypad means local programming requires a compatible external interface or network connection.
