Product Description:
The 131U4964 variable-frequency drive is built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit modulates AC power to regulate induction-motor speed in continuous-duty conveyors, pumps, and compressors used across industrial automation. Through precise frequency control, it matches mechanical output to system load while lowering energy consumption. The drive supports cabinet-frame mounting, enabling straightforward integration inside electrical enclosures while keeping its power and control connections accessible.
Incoming mains at 380–500 VAC supply the power section; this wide input range accommodates global utility standards and keeps the DC link within its operating limits. Operation on three-phase power ensures balanced current sharing and permits full use of the 0.75 kW continuous motor rating. The chassis has an IP20 protection rating, so it must be mounted inside a closed panel to prevent accidental contact with live parts. Network integration is handled by the PROFINET MCA 120 option card, which allows cyclic data exchange with distributed PLCs over industrial Ethernet and supports coordinated control within automated systems.
Local operation and diagnostics are simplified by the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides direct access to drive parameters without requiring a laptop. During power outages or emergency stops, the MCB-107 24 V DC backup supplies the control board so process data and bus communication can remain active until an orderly shutdown occurs. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting installation in mixed-voltage cabinets where radio interference limits apply. The configuration uses standard cable entries and does not include adaptation modules, which keeps the internal arrangement focused on general-purpose speed regulation. Its printed circuit boards are uncoated, making the drive appropriate for protected cabinet environments where the enclosure limits exposure to moisture and airborne contaminants.
