The 131U4000 AC drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Its role is to vary motor frequency and voltage so connected equipment can match process demand instead of running at a fixed speed. Installation is intended for cabinet mounts in A, B, and C frames, and the unit is used as an open-chassis component inside an electrical cabinet. This layout suits enclosed control cabinets where airflow and physical protection are provided by the surrounding enclosure.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 15 kW, which is equivalent to 20 HP for medium-duty pumps, fans, and conveyors. It accepts an input supply of 380–500 VAC on a three-phase power network, so it can connect directly to common industrial feeders. This input range supports use on standard industrial distribution systems without requiring a special supply arrangement. The enclosure is rated IP20, which provides touch-safe terminals but still requires cabinet installation where dust or liquids are present. Standard cable entries support line and motor wiring, and a brake chopper is not integrated, so dynamic braking must be handled externally when it is needed.
