Product Description:
The 131U3473 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it can be installed in a control panel to convert fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output for regulating induction motor speed. This control method supports accurate adjustment of flow, pressure, speed, and torque in conveyors, fans, pumps, and other industrial machinery. It also reduces the need for mechanical throttling or other inefficient methods of process control.
The drive supplies a continuous motor output of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP. Its input bridge accepts 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, allowing connection to common industrial power distribution systems within that voltage range. An internal RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions that could otherwise affect nearby equipment. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative energy produced during rapid motor deceleration must be managed by an appropriate external braking unit or by using longer deceleration ramps. Supplemental I/O, harmonic mitigation, and motion controller modules are not included in the base configuration. This arrangement provides the primary motor-control functions while leaving optional system capabilities to separately selected equipment.
Operator interaction is provided through the graphical local control panel, which gives direct access to parameters, operating commands, alarms, and real-time status information. Cable entries use a European metric cable gland pattern, making them suitable for corresponding metric glands commonly used in IEC control cabinets. The drive contains uncoated printed circuit boards, so its enclosure should be installed away from corrosive vapors, conductive dust, excessive moisture, and other contaminants that could damage exposed electronics. A standard language pack is preloaded for menu navigation and parameter access from the local control panel. The 302 series identifier places the drive within the FC 302 product line, whose models support automation applications that require controlled acceleration, deceleration, speed regulation, and torque response.
