Internal Product Review
The 131U2213 from the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series is a Danfoss drive designed for three-phase power systems, supporting a power rating of 1.5 kW (2.0 HP). A standard RFI filter and IP20 chassis protection make it suitable for cabinet installations in industrial automation setups. The MCB-103 resolver option and graphical local control panel enhance both feedback capability and usability, making this drive a versatile choice for precise motor control.

Product Description:
The 131U2213 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. This AC drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and is intended for normal cabinet mounting beside contactors and protective devices. By modulating output frequency, it lets the system match motor speed to load demand, reduce energy use, and coordinate multi-axis motion when combined with optional positioning cards. This approach also helps limit unnecessary motor speed during light-load operation. The drive is suited for conveyors, pumps, and general process equipment that require repeatable acceleration, deceleration, and torque limits under PLC supervision.
Electrically, the drive accepts a line supply of 380 – 500 VAC on three-phase power and delivers a continuous shaft output of 1.5 kW, which is equivalent to 2.0 HP. An internal brake chopper provides rapid energy dissipation during stopping events, which is useful in applications with frequent deceleration. The integral RFI filter limits high-frequency noise on the mains and helps the drive operate cleanly inside a shared control cabinet. The enclosure is rated IP20 / Chassis, so it relies on the host panel for additional protection. Because no mains option is fitted, line contacts wire directly to the standard cable entries.
Mechanical clearances are supported by a housing depth of 220 mm and an overall height of 268 mm, which helps with multi-drive stacking. Operator interaction is handled by the Graphical Local Control Panel, which includes a standard language pack for local setup and monitoring. Position feedback expansion is available through the MCB-103 Resolver Option, while synchronized positioning functions are enabled by the factory-installed MCO-305 SyncPos card in the C0 slot. The A bay has no option, adaptation B is set to no adaptation, C and C1 software bays are vacant, and the D slot is unused. This arrangement leaves room for the installed options without changing the basic enclosure layout. The PCB remains uncoated to favor convection cooling.
