Product Description:
The 131N9327 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In automated plants, it modulates the frequency and voltage supplied to induction motors, allowing closed-loop control of speed, torque, and process variables without mechanical throttling. The drive serves conveyors, pumps, and fan systems that require adjustable throughput while maintaining electrical efficiency. Its control capabilities also support applications where motor output must respond accurately to changing production demands.
The drive accepts a supply of 380 to 500 VAC and operates with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to typical industrial mains without a transformer. The inverter delivers a continuous mechanical output of 7.5 kW, which is equivalent to 10 HP and is suitable for midrange centrifugal loads. An IP54, Type 12, and NEMA 3R enclosure protects the internal electronics from dust and sprayed liquids, permitting installation outside a sealed control cabinet. The printed circuit boards are not coated, so the installation area should be free from corrosive vapors and excessive airborne contamination. Standard cable entries simplify gland plate preparation and support organized routing of power, motor, and control wiring. The drive has no brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be managed by the motor or suitable external braking equipment.
Field integration is handled through a PROFINET MCA 120 interface installed in the A slot, which exchanges real-time setpoints, operating data, and feedback with compatible PLC networks. A Graphical Local Control Panel on the front cover provides access to parameters, operating values, diagnostic information, and trend displays without requiring a separate programming device. The standard language pack provides multilingual menus for local operation and configuration. Conducted emissions are reduced by the built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting installations on compatible IT or TN power systems that require basic electromagnetic interference mitigation. The remaining option positions are unpopulated, leaving the drive configured around its primary motor-control, local-interface, and network-communication functions.
