Product Description:
The 131N8756 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within an automation cell, it adjusts motor speed to match process demand, reducing mechanical stress and energy consumption on connected three-phase induction motors. The drive regulates the frequency and voltage supplied to the motor, allowing controlled acceleration, deceleration, and continuous speed adjustment. It is suitable for medium-duty conveyors, mixers, pump skids, and other equipment that requires repeatable motor control under changing loads.
The inverter accepts a mains supply of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power network and delivers up to 11 kW of continuous output. Its enclosure is sealed to IP54/Type 12 N3R, helping prevent airborne dust and noncorrosive splashing liquids from reaching the internal electronics. An integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted emissions on the supply lines, reducing the need for external suppression hardware in suitable commercial or light-industrial installations. The drive has no brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be managed through an appropriate external arrangement when the connected load returns energy during deceleration. Proper supply protection and motor cabling remain necessary to support stable operation across the permitted input range.
A graphical local control panel provides access to operating values, alarms, motor settings, and parameter menus from the front of the drive. Its standard language pack supports local setup and routine diagnostics without requiring a separate display device. Cable glands use the European metric pattern, allowing compatible metric fittings to secure incoming power, motor, and control cables in IEC-style cabinets. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the enclosure should be installed where moisture, condensation, and corrosive airborne contaminants are adequately controlled. No dedicated mains option is installed, and any required line-conditioning equipment must therefore be selected separately for supplies affected by substantial disturbances. Optional interface modules are not installed in the base unit, leaving the available positions unused for applications that do not require additional communication or control functions.
