Product Description:
The 131N8045 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It modulates motor voltage and frequency to regulate the speed of pumps, fans, conveyors, and other motor-driven equipment. This control allows connected machinery to follow changing process demands while maintaining stable torque across its operating range. The drive is intended for cabinet installation in industrial automation systems where controlled acceleration, steady operation, and repeatable deceleration are required.
The power section accepts a line supply of 380–500 VAC from three-phase power networks. It delivers a motor output of up to 1.5 kW, which corresponds to 2.0 HP. The IP20 chassis helps protect internal components against accidental contact when the drive is installed inside a suitable control cabinet. Conducted emissions are reduced by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which limits high-frequency electrical noise returning to the mains supply. Standard cabinet-mounting provisions for A, B, and C frames support conventional panel layouts, while the regular cable entries accommodate mains and motor wiring without special glands. An integrated brake chopper allows a compatible dynamic braking resistor to absorb regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration. This function helps control the DC bus voltage when a driven load returns energy to the power section.
The installed communication interface is a PROFINET MCA 120 card, which supports industrial Ethernet communication with compatible automation controllers. It allows command values, operating status, and diagnostic data to travel through the PROFINET network without requiring a separate external gateway. The printed circuit boards are not coated, making the drive suitable for clean, controlled cabinet environments where moisture and airborne contamination are limited. The drive is supplied without an LCP keypad and uses the standard language pack for its available interface functions. A brake safe-stop input supports controlled integration with an appropriate machine safety circuit. The printed circuit board uses a normal mounting arrangement, and the standard cable routing keeps power and communication conductors organized within the enclosure. The series identifier 302 places the unit within the VLT AutomationDrive product group for general motor-control applications that require network connectivity and cabinet installation.
