Product Description:
The 131N8039 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT AutomationDrive family. The device converts fixed-frequency supply power into a variable-frequency output, allowing control systems to regulate induction motor speed for conveyors, pumps, fans, and other motion tasks in automated manufacturing. Its compact chassis simplifies panel layouts while providing the closed-loop control functions required for precise and stable speed regulation under changing load conditions.
The drive accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC and uses three-phase power, allowing it to connect to common industrial distribution systems. The inverter delivers a continuous motor output of 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP for small pumps, fans, and material-handling equipment. The chassis has an IP20 chassis rating and is intended for installation inside a suitable electrical cabinet that prevents unintended contact with internal components. Standard cable entries provide routes for power, motor, and control wiring. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so regenerated energy must be managed by the connected load or separate braking equipment. The B, C0, C1, and D expansion slots are unused, and Adaptation B does not contain an adaptation module. The unit has no line-power option module, includes the standard language pack, and is supplied without a local control panel keypad.
For network integration, the PROFINET MCA 120 A-option card handles real-time Ethernet commands and status data exchanged with compatible industrial control systems. Electromagnetic emissions are limited by an integral filter rated RFI Class A1/B (C1), supporting use in installations that meet the applicable C1 requirements when proper wiring, grounding, and shielding practices are followed. The drive has uncoated internal circuit boards, so it should be installed away from condensing moisture, conductive dust, corrosive gases, and aggressive chemical fumes.
