Internal Product Review
The 131N7383 is a Danfoss VLT FC 302 automation drive built for precise motor control on 380 - 500 VAC three-phase power. PROFINET MCA 120 support and a graphical local control panel make integration and commissioning especially efficient. IP20/chassis protection makes this drive a strong choice for cabinet-based automation systems.

Product Description:
The 131N7383 is a variable frequency drive engineered by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output that allows controllers to regulate induction motor speed, torque, and process flow without mechanical throttling. Used in conveyor, pump, and fan systems, it mounts inside control cabinets where the drive coordinates with PLC networks to improve energy use and motion accuracy in automated equipment.
The drive delivers a continuous electrical output of 0.75 kW, which is equivalent to 1.0 HP, making it suitable for auxiliary pumps, blowers, and indexing conveyors. It draws power from a 380–500 VAC source with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to compatible plant switchgear. The IP20 chassis housing permits installation in ventilated control cabinets that provide the necessary protection against contact and environmental exposure. Standard cable entries simplify wiring, while the cabinet mounting pattern used for A, B, and C frames supports consistent mechanical integration across the platform. The drive does not include a brake chopper. Regenerated energy must therefore be managed by an external braking unit, a regenerative supply system, or a mechanical braking device suitable for the application.
The A-option slot contains a PROFINET MCA 120 communication module, which provides a real-time interface with distributed I/O devices and PLCs over Industrial Ethernet. The integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted emissions when the drive shares its power source with sensitive instrumentation. Local setup is performed with the Graphical Local Control Panel, whose keypad and backlit display provide direct access to operating parameters without requiring a PC. The electronics use uncoated circuit boards, so the unit should be installed in a clean, dry enclosure when airborne moisture or contamination may be present. The standard language pack provides on-screen text in commonly used industrial languages. Cable routing and enclosure ventilation should preserve the required clearances around the chassis while keeping communication wiring separated from motor power conductors where practical.
