Product Description:
The 131H9971 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. It converts fixed-frequency plant power into a regulated output that allows a connected controller to vary motor speed. This capability supports speed and torque control in pumps, conveyors, fans, and other industrial machinery. The series identifier is 302, and the drive is designed for installation in industrial automation panels.
This controller supplies up to 5.5 kW, or 7.5 HP, of continuous motor power from a mains voltage range of 380–500 VAC. Its three-phase power input allows direct connection to standard 400 V industrial networks while distributing current across all three phases. The IP20 chassis protection requires the unit to be installed inside a suitable cabinet that prevents unintended contact with internal components. The mounting code supports normal cabinet installation with the applicable A, B, and C frame arrangements. Fieldbus connectivity is provided through the DeviceNet MCA 104 card, allowing the drive to exchange commands and operating data with compatible control systems. The remaining option positions are empty, so the unit does not include a brake chopper or additional I/O hardware. Standard cable entries accommodate routine cabinet wiring, and the standard language set supports local menu navigation.
An integral RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical emissions and helps the surrounding installation meet applicable EN 61800-3 limits. Local operation is available through the graphical local control panel, which provides text menus, parameter access, operating values, and trend displays without requiring an external interface. The unit has uncoated printed-circuit boards, so it should be installed in a clean indoor area that remains within the permitted humidity range. Cabinet airflow must maintain acceptable internal temperatures during operation, particularly when the drive is installed near other heat-producing equipment. No mains option transformer is fitted, and braking resistors cannot be controlled directly because the unit does not have a brake chopper.
