Product Description:
The 131H5051 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it regulates motor speed and torque so conveyors, pumps, and compressors can respond to changing load requirements in industrial automation systems. The drive combines its power section, control electronics, and expansion slots in a single housing, reducing the number of separate components required for installation. Its enclosure is suitable for direct placement on machine frames or in motor room panels when the required mounting clearances and operating conditions are maintained.
The inverter delivers a continuous output of 18.5 kW, which corresponds to 25 HP, and operates from 380–500 VAC utility supplies with three-phase power. Its enclosure has an IP54/Type 12 N3R rating, providing protection against dust and dripping liquids while supporting wall-mounted installation in production areas. A built-in brake chopper manages energy returned during rapid motor deceleration, reducing the need for additional braking control components. The integrated RFI Class A1/B filter limits conducted electrical emissions on the mains supply. Standard cable entries accommodate power and control wiring through the gland plate without requiring a separate entry arrangement. The power boards do not have a conformal coating, making the drive appropriate for locations where additional protection against corrosive contaminants or persistent condensation is unnecessary. Safe-stop functions remain available when the control electronics receive external DC power through the dedicated terminals.
User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel, which displays operating values, alarms, and adjustable parameters in an accessible format. Networked control is supported by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card, allowing the drive to exchange commands and status information with compatible automation controllers. Motor thermal protection is available through the MCB-112 PTC thermistor card, which monitors supported PTC sensors and responds to excessive motor temperature. The MCB-107 24 V DC backup module helps maintain control operation during brief interruptions of the primary supply. The unit includes a standard language pack for menu navigation and status messages. Harmonic filter options and integrated mains switching are not included in this configuration, so any required external filtering or supply isolation must be provided separately within the installation.
