Danfoss’s 131H1591 belongs to the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit is categorized under the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and carries the internal series identifier 302 used across this platform. It supports normal cabinet mounting on A, B, and C frames and controls induction-motor speed in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other automated equipment. By converting fixed-frequency plant power into a variable-frequency output, the drive can match motor speed to mechanical demand while reducing unnecessary energy consumption and mechanical stress.
The controller provides a mechanical shaft capacity of 60 HP, corresponding to an electrical motor output of 45 kW. It accepts mains supplies ranging from 380–500 VAC and uses three-phase power, allowing direct connection to standard industrial distribution systems within that voltage range. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts and is intended for installation inside a closed cabinet. Standard cable entries simplify cable-gland selection, while the mounting arrangement maintains the airflow paths needed for cooling. The base design does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative braking energy requires an external means of dissipation when the application produces returning energy. Option slots A, B, D, and C0 are empty, allowing the required control or communication functions to be added separately. The drive also has no C1 or mains retrofit module installed.
Operator interaction is provided through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents operating values, parameters, alarms, and diagnostic information in a readable format. A standard language pack supplies multilingual text for the panel menus and status messages. The coated printed circuit boards provide additional protection against humidity and airborne dust in switchgear rooms. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by the integrated RFI filter, helping limit interference transferred through the mains connection. Adaptation field B is set to no adaptation, while the A, B, and C1 software fields retain their default settings. Because no mains option is installed, suitable upstream protective devices must provide the required supply protection and coordination for the installation.
