Product Description:
The 131H0984 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. The unit receives fixed-frequency, three-phase utility power and supplies an induction motor with adjustable frequency and voltage. This conversion provides precise speed and torque control for conveyors, pumps, ventilation equipment, and other process machinery. The shared FC 302 platform maintains consistent diagnostics and enclosure dimensions across the range, which simplifies cabinet design and system integration.
The drive provides a continuous output of 11 kW, equivalent to 15 HP at the motor shaft, making it suitable for medium-sized process loads. Its input section accepts 380–500 VAC through three-phase power, matching common industrial electrical supplies. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental finger contact with live components, but the drive still requires installation in a suitable cabinet with adequate airflow. Because the unit does not include a brake chopper, regenerated energy must be managed elsewhere in the application. Standard cable entries provide direct routing for power, motor, and control wiring. No mains option or D option is installed, and the circuit boards do not have a protective coating. Adaptation B is set to no adaptation, so the drive uses its standard physical configuration. The unit is supplied without a local control panel keypad, leaving parameter access and operating commands to compatible remote interfaces.
Industrial network communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module installed in the A slot. This module supports cyclic control data and acyclic parameter exchange with compatible PLC systems. Motor temperature monitoring is handled by the MCB-112 PTC thermistor card, allowing the drive to respond to overheating signals from connected motor sensors. An integrated RFI filter reduces conducted electrical noise and helps the installation meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility limits. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing its airflow path to be arranged within standard switchgear layouts. No C0 or C1 option is installed, so optional functions associated with those slots are unavailable. Control and protection therefore rely on the installed drive components and external system devices.
