Product Description:
The 131G9377 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed inside machine cabinets, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that lets control systems vary induction motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and general material-handling equipment. By pairing internal IGBT switching with a dedicated brake chopper, the unit can dissipate regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. This arrangement supports controlled braking in automated production lines where motors must slow quickly without causing excessive DC bus voltage.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 11 kW, equivalent to 15 HP, giving it enough capacity for midrange production motors. It accepts line supplies from 380–500 VAC and is intended for three-phase power networks, so no external phase conversion is needed in standard industrial plants. Its IP20 chassis provides protection against accidental contact with internal electrical components and is suitable for placement in an enclosed cabinet with normal airflow. The drive supports standard cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames. Cables enter through standard metric knockouts, allowing compatible gland plates to be used. The internal boards are not conformally coated, so cabinet humidity and airborne contamination must remain within the permitted operating limits. The built-in brake chopper works with external resistors to absorb excess DC bus energy during rapid stops.
Electromagnetic interference is reduced by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which limits conducted electrical noise without requiring an additional filter. For fieldbus communication, the A-slot carries a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 interface that supports data exchange with compatible industrial control systems. Precise electronic gearing and synchronized motion control are available through the MCO slot’s MCO-305 SyncPos motion option. Local interaction is performed through the front-mounted Numerical Local Control Panel, which displays real-time speed, current, operating status, and fault codes. A relay expansion on the MCB-105 card provides dry-contact outputs for forwarding run status or alarm signals to external control equipment. The no-adaptation configuration allows users to load application-specific parameter sets for the connected machinery.
