Product Description:
The 131G6964 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit modulates fixed-frequency AC power so induction motors can run at process-specific speeds and torques on conveyors, pumps, and other motion axes in automated machinery. It is intended for installation in standard control cabinets and provides parameter access through an integrated user interface. Its variable-speed operation allows connected equipment to match motor output to changing process demands rather than running continuously at full speed.
It delivers a continuous power rating of 1.1 kW, allowing motors in the 1 kW class to be started and regulated without oversizing the inverter. The mains terminals accept line voltages from 380 to 500 VAC, so the same model can be wired to common industrial 400 V or 480 V networks. Operation is based on three-phase power, which provides balanced loading and reduced harmonic distortion compared with single-phase converters. Shaft output is also expressed as 1.5 HP, a value that simplifies motor selection in regions that use imperial units. The chassis has an IP20 chassis rating, meaning live parts are finger-safe when the drive is installed inside a closed cabinet, but the enclosure does not protect against water.
For network integration, the A-option slot is populated with EtherNet/IP MCA 121, giving the controller direct access to real-time plant data over common Ethernet infrastructure. Local commands and diagnostics are handled through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays parameters, fault codes, and trend information on a backlit screen. Conductors enter through standard knockouts that route through drive-side radio-frequency interference suppressors. The filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1), so conducted emissions remain within the applicable limits when cable lengths are short. The unit carries series identifier 302 and uses the mechanical dimensions associated with FC 302 equipment. Its printed circuit board surfaces are uncoated, making the drive suitable for clean cabinet environments. Option slots B, C, and D are vacant, while dynamic stopping must be handled externally because safe-stop braking is not included.
