Product Description:
The 131F8844 is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. It is designed for installation in multi-axis or standalone control cabinets where variable-speed regulation of three-phase motors improves process efficiency. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a controllable output, the drive allows plant control systems to match motor speed and torque to changing load requirements. This functionality supports applications such as conveyors, pumps, fans, and other industrial equipment that require regulated motor operation.
An A-slot communication board provides PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 connectivity for exchanging commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with a compatible control network. The power section accepts an input range of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply. Continuous motor output is rated at 15 hp, corresponding to a mechanical power rating of 11 kW. Standard cable entries provide direct routing for power, motor, and control conductors inside the cabinet. The drive has no brake chopper, so applications that require dynamic braking must use a suitable external arrangement. The base configuration does not include additional application boards or dedicated software packages.
The drive uses an IP20 chassis enclosure intended for installation inside a protective control cabinet. A graphical local control panel provides direct access to operating values, parameter settings, status messages, and fault information. The included standard language pack supports routine interaction with the panel menus. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by the built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, helping the unit meet applicable interference limits when installed correctly. The drive does not include an integrated mains disconnect, so supply isolation must be provided elsewhere in the electrical system. Its printed circuit boards are not coated, which makes a clean, dry installation area important for protecting the internal electronics from moisture and airborne contamination.
