Product Description:
The 131F7146 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss as a member of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it carries the internal series identifier 302. The unit converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a controlled output that regulates the speed and torque of an induction motor. This output supports variable-speed operation in conveyor lines, pump stations, HVAC fans, and other industrial machinery. Digital motor control can reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining the speed required by the connected process.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 18.5 kW, which corresponds to 25 HP at the motor shaft. It accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC through a three-phase power input, allowing connection to common industrial power systems within that voltage range. Its power electronics convert the incoming supply into a variable-frequency waveform that controls motor acceleration, speed, and torque. The drive has no brake chopper, so an appropriate external braking arrangement is required when an application must dissipate regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts but does not provide sealed protection against dust or water. The unit must therefore be installed inside a suitable cabinet with enough airflow to maintain acceptable operating temperatures.
An integrated RFI filter reduces conducted electrical interference from the drive before it reaches the supply network. The unit is supplied with no local control panel (LCP), so operating parameters must be entered through a compatible remote interface, fieldbus connection, or optional control panel. Installation uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, while standard cable entries accommodate wiring routed through suitable metric glands. The cabinet layout must provide adequate clearance around the chassis for cooling and cable access. The unit has uncoated control boards, so the surrounding enclosure should provide clean air and protection from moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive contaminants. The available auxiliary slots are blank, leaving the drive in its base configuration for connection to the required external control system.
