Product Description:
The 131F6298 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss. It belongs to the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series within the wider VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. Carrying the internal series identifier 302, the unit modulates power for three-phase induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and other automated equipment. Its control functions regulate motor speed and torque in response to process commands, allowing connected machinery to operate across a controlled range rather than at a fixed line frequency.
Rated for a continuous output of 1.1 kW, the drive supplies power to the connected motor during normal operation. It accepts three-phase power at 380 to 500 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems without phase conversion. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts but does not provide water sealing. Standard cable entries simplify conductor routing through the gland plate, while the normal cabinet-mount arrangement supports installation alongside other control hardware. An integral RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions. The filter helps the drive meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements when installation practices and cable shielding are appropriate.
The factory-installed A slot contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module, enabling fieldbus communication with compatible automation controllers. The B slot contains an MCB-112 PTC thermal card, which receives motor overtemperature signals from supported PTC sensors. The D slot incorporates an MCB-107 24 V DC backup board, allowing the control electronics to remain active during interruptions in the main supply when backup power is available. A graphical local control panel provides access to operating data and adjustable parameters directly from the front of the drive. The brake channel does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use an appropriate external arrangement. The standard language pack supports routine menu navigation, and the printed circuit boards do not have a protective coating. These uncoated boards are intended for cabinet environments where moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive contaminants remain adequately controlled.
