Product Description:

The 131F5380 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it converts fixed-frequency industrial mains power into a controlled output that matches motor torque and speed to process demand, reducing energy use in material-handling, pumping, and ventilation equipment. The unit is designed for integration inside standard switchgear enclosures, where it can interface with PLCs through optional fieldbus cards and support local parameter entry through a detachable control panel.

It delivers a continuous mechanical output of 3.0 kW, corresponding to 4.0 HP. The power stage accepts supply lines within the 380–500 VAC range and uses three-phase power, allowing direct connection to typical industrial feeders. Its IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components but requires installation in a ventilated cabinet. Standard cabinet-mounted A, B, and C frames provide established hole patterns for backplate alignment. These mounting arrangements also maintain the clearances needed for airflow across the heat sink during normal operation.

Network communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 A-option, allowing the drive to exchange commands and operating data with compatible control systems. Motor thermal protection is supported by the integrated MCB-112 PTC thermistor card, which monitors connected temperature sensors. Operators can issue commands, enter parameters, and view alarms through the graphical local control panel. Conducted electrical noise is attenuated by an embedded RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter. The drive is supplied with no brake chopper, and it also omits C0 and C1 expansion cartridges, a D option, and a mains option. Standard cable entries support conventional cabinet wiring, while the uncoated printed circuit boards make the unit suitable for clean production environments. The standard language pack is included, and the Adaptation B setting applies no custom adaptation to the base control configuration.
