Product Description:
The 131F5324 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output so that asynchronous or permanent-magnet motors can follow commanded speed or torque values from a PLC or other controller. This makes it suitable for conveyor systems, pump stations, and other machinery that benefits from stable speed regulation and adjustable process control. Its operating mode also supports energy-saving motor control in applications that do not require constant full-speed operation.
The drive is rated for 11 kW of continuous output and may also be identified by its 15 HP motor rating when matched to common North American motor data. The input stage accepts 380 – 500 VAC, and an internal rectifier feeds the inverter bridge, which produces variable-frequency three-phase power for the connected motor. An enclosure rated IP21 / Type 1 supports cabinet mounting in clean indoor areas while helping limit contact with falling particles and dripping moisture. The cable-entry arrangement is standard, and the PCB surfaces are uncoated, so the surrounding enclosure should limit exposure to condensation and airborne contaminants.
The control interface uses a Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents operating values and parameter menus directly on the drive. To reduce conducted interference, the unit includes an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter. Dynamic braking energy is handled through a dedicated brake chopper, which supports controlled deceleration in applications with frequent stopping or overhauling loads. Feedback capability is expanded by the MCB-103 Resolver Option, allowing resolver-based motor feedback where that signal format is required.
