Product Description:
The 131F0431 variable-frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a modulated output that allows automation controllers to regulate the speed and torque of induction motors. Suitable applications include conveyors, pumps, and similar equipment that requires adjustable motor operation. The drive mounts inside a control cabinet and interfaces directly with programmable logic controllers in industrial process lines.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 18.5 kW, which is equivalent to 25 HP at the shaft. Its input section accepts 380–500 VAC and is wired for three-phase power, so no single-phase derating is required. A chassis-mounted heat sink is incorporated into the IP20 chassis enclosure, which protects users from contact with live parts while relying on cabinet airflow for cooling. The normal cabinet mounting arrangement for A, B, and C frames simplifies alignment during panel installation. The model does not include a brake chopper, so it cannot directly control an external braking resistor for dissipating regenerated energy. No mains option module is installed. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, making the drive best suited to clean, dry environments with controlled airborne contamination.
User interaction is handled through a graphical local control panel that can be detached and installed remotely when the cabinet layout requires separate operator access. Parameter text uses the default language selection provided by the standard language pack. Standard cable-entry knockouts accommodate compatible metric cable glands and support organized routing into the enclosure. Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps reduce conducted radio-frequency interference. Additional C0 or C1 extension cards are not installed in the A, B, or D option positions, and the Adaptation B field indicates that no adaptation is applied. The drive carries the series identifier 302, which corresponds to the parameter structure used for this AutomationDrive platform.
