Product Description:
The 131B9279 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and positioned within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable output that lets system builders regulate motor speed and torque to match process demands. By controlling induction or permanent-magnet motors directly, the drive reduces energy use and mechanical stress in conveyors, mixers, and other continuous-duty machines that populate automated production lines.
Electrical capability centers on a mains input of 380 – 500 VAC. The drive uses three-phase power and can deliver up to 30 HP of mechanical output, which corresponds to a nominal rating of 22 kW for metric installations. This output supports motors up to that power level without derating. An IP21 / Type 1 enclosure allows mounting inside ventilated electrical rooms where limited drips or dust may be present, but it does not require a sealed cabinet. The integral brake chopper directs regenerative energy to an external resistor so deceleration cycles do not raise the DC link voltage. Standard cable entries simplify field wiring, and the uncoated printed circuit board is intended for clean ambient air.
Operator interaction is handled by the Graphical Local Control Panel, which supplies status icons and parameter editing without external tools. For networked platforms, the CANopen MCA 105 option board transmits speed references and diagnostics over the plant fieldbus. The MCB-103 Resolver Option accepts analog rotor position signals from resolver-equipped motors to improve low-speed accuracy. The built-in RFI Filter limits conducted emissions on the supply side, allowing the drive to share switchgear with sensitive instrumentation. The latest software release is installed, and unused C0, C1, and D option slots leave space for future functional expansion.
