Product Description:
The 131B880 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It is installed in motor-control panels to regulate the speed of induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other automated equipment. By adjusting output frequency and voltage according to process demand, the drive can reduce mechanical stress during acceleration and deceleration. Its control functions also support stable motor operation when speed or load requirements change.
The drive provides a continuous output of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP. It accepts line power from 380–500 VAC through a three-phase power supply. The IP20 chassis permits cabinet airflow while protecting against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts. A built-in RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical interference before it reaches the incoming power network. The integrated brake chopper manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration when the installation includes a suitable braking resistor. Standard cable entries simplify power and control wiring, while the cabinet-mount design supports installation using the applicable A, B, or C frame arrangement. No mains option is installed in the input circuit, and the printed circuit boards do not have a conformal coating.
Option slot B contains the MCB-102 Encoder Option, which receives motor position feedback for applications requiring encoder-based control. Option slots A, C0, C1, and D are empty, and Adaptation B is set for operation without adaptation. Local operation is handled through a Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides access to operating data, settings, status information, and diagnostic messages. The panel allows direct adjustment of drive parameters without requiring a separate display device. Supervisory controls can use the configured drive data while the local panel remains available for viewing operating conditions at the cabinet.
