Product Description:
The 131B6825 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss and forms part of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As an AC inverter, it regulates motor speed by varying the frequency and voltage of its pulse-width-modulated output. This control method allows industrial systems to adjust torque, acceleration, and energy use in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other motor-driven equipment. The drive can receive commands from an automation controller while also supporting local operation when direct access is needed.
The drive is designed for three-phase power, so it connects directly to compatible factory mains without phase conversion hardware. Its input range of 380–500 VAC supports typical 400 V industrial networks while accommodating moderate supply fluctuations. The enclosure carries an IP21 / Type 1 rating, providing basic protection against contact with internal components and vertically falling water droplets. This enclosure is intended for indoor installation in a suitable electrical room or cabinet where exposure to excessive moisture and airborne contaminants is limited. An integrated RFI filter attenuates high-frequency switching noise before it propagates onto the power line and interferes with nearby equipment. Users interact with the drive through a graphical local control panel, which provides parameter access, operating data, status messages, and manual start or stop commands. These local functions allow basic adjustments and diagnostics to be performed without requiring a separate interface device.
Cable routing is supported by standard gland plates, which provide organized entry points for mains, motor, and control wiring. The drive has an uncoated power board, so it should not be installed where high humidity, condensation, corrosive vapor, or conductive dust could reach the electronics. It includes no brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration or frequent regenerative braking need suitable external braking equipment or another method of handling returned energy. The series identifier is 302, placing the unit within the VLT AutomationDrive FC 302 product line. The drive does not include a dedicated mains option module, so any required line-side functions must be provided separately. Proper spacing around the enclosure should be maintained so heat can dissipate and connected cables are not subjected to excessive bending or strain.
