Product Description:
The 131B5961 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied in the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It provides open-loop and closed-loop speed regulation for three-phase induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and other automated machinery. By converting fixed-frequency line power into a variable-frequency output, the unit allows control systems to match motor torque to real-time load requirements while limiting energy consumption and mechanical stress. Its control capabilities also support applications that require stable motor operation across changing speeds and loads.
The inverter delivers a continuous motor output of 5.5 kW, which is equivalent to 7.5 HP at the shaft. It accepts a 200–240 VAC supply from a three-phase power network, allowing direct connection to common low-voltage plant services without a transformer. The drive has an IP54, Type 12, and NEMA 3R enclosure rating that protects against airborne dust and water splashes, allowing installation outside a sealed cabinet when site conditions are suitable. The drive includes no brake chopper, so applications that require dynamic braking must use an appropriate external arrangement. No additional line-side disconnect or fuse module is preinstalled. The printed circuit boards do not have a protective coating, so the unit should be installed away from corrosive atmospheres. Standard cable entries accommodate metric gland plates, while the standard language package provides multilingual interface menus after power-up.
Electromagnetic interference is managed by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, helping compatible installations meet industrial electromagnetic compatibility limits without an additional external filter. Local operation is provided through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which supports parameter editing, trend viewing, and diagnostic access without external tools. Its graphical display presents operating values and menu settings in a format suited to local monitoring and configuration. The control platform carries series code 302 and uses the common option-slot arrangement associated with FC 302 drives. Adaptation field B leaves the control board in its universal configuration for standard operation.
