The 131B5959 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output that allows production machinery to regulate induction motor speed without mechanical throttling. Within an automation cell, the unit functions as the central speed regulator for pumps, conveyors, and fans, maintaining torque under dynamic load changes while occupying a small control cabinet footprint.
It supplies a continuous motor output of 7.5 HP, equivalent to 5.5 kW, so the drive suits medium-duty equipment that requires reliable shaft power. The input section accepts 200–240 VAC from a three-phase power network, eliminating the need for step-up transformers in typical 230-volt plants. The IP21 / Type 1 enclosure permits indoor mounting and protects internal components against vertically falling water drops. The integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions and supports installation in locations subject to the applicable C1 requirements.
