Product Description:
The 131B2128 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that allows plant controllers to vary the speed of induction motors used in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other automated equipment. The unit belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and is designed for installation inside a standard control enclosure. Its compact chassis supports protected cabinet installations where the drive can be integrated with motor wiring, control signals, and industrial communication networks.
The power section accepts a supply of 380–500 VAC delivered as three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial electrical networks without an autotransformer. Continuous output is rated at 1.5 kW, which corresponds to 2.0 HP. This output capacity makes the drive suitable for controlling appropriately sized motors under nominal operating conditions. The IP20 chassis protects users from accidental finger contact with live components, but the unit must be installed in a clean cabinet that limits dust and moisture exposure. An integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter attenuates conducted electromagnetic emissions on the mains leads. Standard cabinet-mount frames provide the mechanical interface, while conventional cable entries accommodate common gland plates and conduit fittings.
The A-slot contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module that supports cyclic process communication and acyclic parameter exchange with compatible control systems. During controlled deceleration, an internal brake chopper directs regenerated energy to an external braking resistor. This arrangement helps manage energy returned by the motor when a driven load slows rapidly. The drive is supplied without an LCP operator panel, so operation and parameter access must be provided through the installed communication interface or another compatible control method. Its language pack uses the standard setting for the platform. The uncoated control PCB is intended for clean, dry control enclosures that do not expose the electronics to condensation, corrosive gases, or conductive contamination.
