Product Description:
The 131B2124 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output for induction or permanent-magnet motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general plant equipment. As part of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it uses the mechanical format associated with other 302 models, allowing straightforward cabinet integration. The drive is intended for standard cabinet mounting in A-, B-, and C-frame configurations.
The power stage is rated at 2.2 kW, which corresponds to a mechanical shaft capability of 3.0 HP. Input conductors accept 380–500 VAC from three-phase power commonly found in industrial distribution panels. An integrated brake chopper diverts regenerated energy to an external resistor during deceleration, helping prevent overvoltage trips when the motor returns energy to the DC bus. The brake terminal provides the connection point for the external resistor, allowing regenerated energy to dissipate safely outside the drive enclosure.
The IP20 chassis enclosure requires installation inside a protective panel to reduce exposure to dust and prevent accidental contact with internal components. Conducted radio-frequency noise is limited by the factory-installed RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, allowing use in ordinary industrial environments without an additional filter. The front-panel slot is fitted with a blank because of the absence of an LCP, so local control requires a remote keypad or communication interface. The drive uses uncoated printed circuit boards, so operating and storage areas should control humidity and airborne contaminants in accordance with Danfoss guidelines. Standard cable entries support orderly routing of power, motor, brake, and control wiring within the cabinet.
