Product Description:
The 131B2117 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In automated plants, it regulates induction motor speed so conveyors, pumps, or mixers can respond to process demand without relying on mechanical throttling. The drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and carries the internal series identifier 302, placing it within a platform that uses common mechanical layouts and wiring conventions across multiple power ranges.
The drive accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power supply, allowing direct connection to common 50 or 60 Hz industrial networks. Its IP20 chassis protection helps prevent accidental contact with internal electrical components when the unit is installed in a suitable cabinet. Fieldbus communication is available through an optional PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 interface card. An integral RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter reduces conducted electromagnetic emissions for compatible first-environment installations. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration must use an appropriate external method to manage regenerated energy. Adaptation B is not installed, and the drive does not have B or C0 option hardware. It is also supplied without an LCP keypad or mains isolator, so parameter access must be provided remotely and supply isolation must be handled separately.
The drive supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, providing established mounting arrangements for multi-drive enclosures. Its electronics use uncoated printed circuit boards, making the unit most appropriate for clean, temperature-controlled cabinets where moisture and corrosive contaminants are limited. Wiring enters through standard metric knockouts that accommodate commonly used cable glands and gland plates. The standard language set supports routine menu navigation when a compatible control interface is connected. No mains option is installed, allowing external fuses, disconnects, and other supply-side devices to be selected according to the application and applicable regional codes. Factory default parameters are loaded before operation, while compatible option slots permit additional control or communication functions to be installed if process requirements change.
