Product Description:
The 131B1976 is an AC variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the unit regulates induction motor speed so conveyors, pumps, and similar loads can be matched to process demand. It operates as a closed-loop power stage between a plant’s mains supply and the motor terminals, delivering adjustable voltage and frequency for efficient motion control in industrial automation. The drive can respond to changing operating requirements while maintaining controlled motor torque and speed.
The drive accepts three-phase power ranging from 380 to 500 VAC. Its inverter section provides a continuous mechanical output of 1.1 kW, which is approximately 1.5 HP. An enclosure rated at IP54/Type 12/N3R permits wall mounting in dusty production areas and protects the internal electronics from splashed liquids. The integrated EMC network meets RFI Class A1/B (C1) emission limits, reducing the need for an additional external filter in compatible installations. No brake chopper is fitted, so regenerative energy produced during rapid deceleration must be managed by external equipment. The mains interface has no additional mains option, and the auxiliary slots for optional I/O, safety, and motion cards are unpopulated. Standard cable entries provide access for power and control wiring, while phase-imbalance protection supports operation from the three-phase supply.
User interaction is provided by a graphical local control panel that supports parameter editing, status viewing, and local start-stop commands. The drive has an uncoated control board, making the protective enclosure important when the unit is installed near dust, moisture, or airborne contaminants. Standard language support is available through the control interface for routine setup and operation. The unit does not include a brake-safe-stop module, so safe torque removal must be provided by suitable upstream control equipment when required by the application. Its standard cable arrangement allows incoming supply conductors, motor leads, and control wiring to be routed through the designated enclosure openings without specialized entry hardware.
