Product Description:
The 131B1874 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. In automated machinery, it regulates motor speed through pulse-width-controlled output, allowing conveyors, pumps, and general process equipment to match changing load demand. This regulation can reduce mechanical wear and unnecessary energy consumption when a motor does not need to operate continuously at full speed. A graphical local control panel on the front door provides direct access to operating parameters and status information. The drive is supplied without additional plug-in boards or mains adapters, allowing it to serve as a baseline configuration for systems that do not require those options.
This model delivers a shaft output of 30 HP, while its inverter section has a continuous electrical power rating of 22 kW. The housing uses Frame Size B2 and measures 243 mm in width and 664 mm in height, providing dimensions suitable for standardized wall-mounted enclosures. Its depth of 261 mm leaves room for cable routing through the factory-supplied standard gland plate at the bottom of the housing. The available apparent power is 30.5 kVA, supporting motor starting and dynamic operation under changing loads. Braking energy must be managed without an internal brake chopper because that component is not included in this configuration. Appropriate external braking equipment may therefore be required when the connected motor produces significant regenerative energy during rapid deceleration.
The input stage accepts 380–500 VAC three-phase power, making the drive suitable for common industrial distribution systems within that voltage range. Its IP54/Type 12 N3R enclosure protects the internal electronics against dust, oil mist, and splashing water while supporting installation in demanding operating areas. Conducted electromagnetic emissions are reduced by an integrated RFI Class A1/B filter, which helps limit interference transferred back through the supply wiring. The printed circuit boards do not have conformal coating, so installation conditions should prevent corrosive moisture or chemical vapor from reaching the electronics. Total heat dissipation is limited to 739 W, and the surrounding enclosure must provide sufficient airflow to remove that heat. Proper clearance around the exhaust path helps prevent excessive internal temperature during continuous operation at the rated load.
